10 AIRPORT STAFF IN KADUNA RESCUED BY TROOPS

Troops of the Nigerian Army has rescued ten victims kidnapped from the Kaduna International Airport Staff Quarters.

This was made known by the state Commissioner, Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, during a briefing to newsmen on security update in the State.

“The Kaduna State Government can confirm that troops of the Nigerian Army have today, Wednesday 17th March 2021, rescued the 10 victims who were kidnapped from the Kaduna Airport Staff Quarters, Ifira, Igabi local government area.” He said.

The Commissioner clarified that explicit information of the rescue location cannot be given at that time because of operational expediency.

The statement also stated that Governor Nasir el-Rufai has received the account of the rescue with happiness and gave hearty congratulations to the troops for the successful rescue.

It added that he (Governor El-Rufai) has also met with the rescued citizens to exhort them, and ascertained to them of the relentless commitment of the Kaduna State Government.

He wished them well as they reunite with their families and loved ones.

The Commissioner explained, “further updates will be provided on this and other developments as they emerge.”
