Bianca, the widow of Ojukwu, the late Biafran leader, may vie for a Senate Seat, putting APGA, Anambra’s ruling party in a dilemma.
Why a dilema? Ifeanyi Ubah, the other aspirant for the Anambra South Senate seat, and the football club owner was very supportive of APGA in the guber contest last November, that Willie Obiano won with a landslide.
Writes our correspondent: “If Bianca insists on contesting, there is no way APGA would try to stop her. She is one of the few legacies Ojukwu left. One other legacy is the Anambra APGA government itself. Another is the Imo governorship, which APGA lost when Okorocha after victory, defected to the APC, Buhari’s party. Any wonder that recently, APGA described Okorocha as “worse than a prodigal son’?”
But can APGA regain Imo State? It is possible, but time will tell”, says our correspondent.
Back to Bianca, what will APGA do if she insists on running for the Senate sreat? “APGA would have toplacate Ifeanyi Ubah ad find a way to compensate him”, adds our correspondent.
Thethird aspirant for the seat, Andy Uba,defected to the APC from the PDP. Political observers do not think he can defeat Ifeany Ubah, much less Biuanca.
