The Lagos State Police Command has arrested six men for allegedly abducting their business partner, known by the nickname Senator, in the Lekki area of the state. The victim was said to have been held captive for three days following a business disagreement.

Police sources said the victim’s family reported him missing after he failed to return home on Tuesday. Detectives traced his phone to an apartment in Lekki, where he was found on Friday morning. The suspects were immediately arrested and handcuffed.

Investigations revealed that the suspects had seized the victim’s phone and withdrawn money from his bank account while he was in captivity. Police officers disclosed that the abduction was connected to a failed business deal, with the suspects claiming they wanted to recover their money.

Although the type of business was not disclosed, detectives confirmed that the victim was maltreated during his ordeal. The suspects remain in custody, and police said they will be charged after interrogation.

Kidnap-for-ransom cases have been rising in Nigeria, and experts warn that some business disputes are now turning into abduction cases. Police say investigations into the Lekki incident are still ongoing.
