The African Independent Television (AIT), on Friday evening, resumed transmission 24 hours after the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) suspended its licence over alleged violation of broadcasting regulations.

A Federal High Court in Abuja, had on Friday, ordered the re-opening of DAAR Communications PLC, owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower, shut down by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Journalists have also condemned the closure of AIT and RayPower FM by the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC.

NUJ, urged NBC to do the needful by reopening the stations within 24-hours, and they also stated that the action portends grave danger for Free Press and Independent Media.
