Alex Otti Emerges as Winner of Abia Governorship Election, Securing Victory for LP


Following the announcement of the controversial Obingwa Local Government Area results on Wednesday, the Labour Party candidate Alex Otti was declared the winner of the Abia State governorship election.

The People’s Democratic Party received 9,962 votes in the LGA, while the Labour Party received 3,776 votes, according to the compilation of the election’s outstanding results.

As a result, the LP has won 10 local government areas, the PDP six, and the Young People’s Party one.

As a result, Chief Alex Otti, the Abia State governorship candidate for the Labour Party, was declared the winner of the 2023 election.
Otti defeated his closest rival and PDP candidate, who received a total of 88,526 votes, with a score of 175,466.

After completing the suspended collation of results, Prof. Nnenna Oti, the Returning Officer, declared the LP candidate the winner Wednesday afternoon at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Umuahia, the state capital.
