Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Embraces e-Naira for Tuition and Transactions


The Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUST), Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, has announced that the institution will implement the e-Naira policy for the payment of tuition fees and other transactions.

This decision was revealed during a meeting held in the Vice Chancellor’s office, where Umar Ibrahim Biu, the Branch Controller of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Kano, was received.

Expressing his gratitude for the CBN’s initiative, Prof. Yakasai highlighted the university’s existing digital infrastructure and emphasized how easily students could adapt to the e-Naira system. With academic activities already being conducted through various e-platforms, the Vice Chancellor acknowledged the university’s readiness to embrace the e-era.

During his address, Umar Ibrahim Biu stressed the importance of transitioning to a cashless system for enhanced financial security and efficiency. He emphasized that the e-Naira was an innovative concept that had gained significant traction and would have a lasting impact.

He further explained that the CBN was actively engaging with numerous merchants to ensure the widespread adoption of the e-Naira.

By adopting the e-Naira, Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology demonstrates its commitment to technological advancements and its recognition of the benefits offered by digital transactions.

This move will streamline the payment processes for students, faculty, and staff, providing a more secure and efficient financial ecosystem within the university community.
