The ancient city of Ilorin, Kwara state was shut down on a good note on Thursday when the gubernatorial cadidate of the APC, Alhaji Abdulrazak Abdulrahman took to the road in a bid to campaign for President Muhammadu Buhari and himself ahead of the fast approaching elections.
Reports have it that the road show started from the Fate road and later moved to Maraba then to the Ipata market which is quite popular in Ilorin. The road show did not just stop at Ipata as it further moved to Gambari, then Abayawo, Oloje and to other major parts of Ilorin. The common language which the people of these vicinities spoke was the shout of “O TO GE” meaning enough is enough, which refers to Saraki dynasty ruling the people of Kwara.
In a recent interview, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazak claimed that he is committed to end the tyranny of the Saraki family in Kwara state. He further promised to ensure that workers in the state are paid their dues at the appropriate time. He added on the issue of minimum wage that civil servants in Kwara will enjoy the APC leadership style but he would have to first check the financial atrocities committed by the PDP.
