ARMED MEN ATTACK UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN’S AWO HALL IN THE WEE HOURS OF FRIDAY

Two students of the University of Ibadan (UI), Ibadan were injured on Friday after some armed men suspected to be robbers attacked a female hostel in the institution.

The affected students are resident of Obafemi Awolowo (Awo Hall) Hall in the school and the attack was carried out in the wee hours of Friday morning.

According to Spokesperson of the University, Tunji Oladejo, who confirmed the incident said the victims have been taken to Jaja Clinic ( the university’s health centre) for treatment.

The robbery operation lasted for several hours and the attackers made away with the students’ phones, laptops, cash, and other valuables

The Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Sina Olukolu, has also visited the scene of the incident.

Awo hall is one of the most populous female hostels in the University of Ibadan.
