The Federal Government through the minister of information and culture disclosed that the indefinite suspension placed on Twitter was a hard decision to take because of its reckons with its importance as information dissemination and a business channel.

The minister also restated that about 476 online media outlets were working hard to pull down the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

Lai Mohammed stated this at a meeting of the Progressives Governors’ Forum with information managers of the All Progressives Congress at the federal and state levels in Lagos. The meeting was an avenue to identify challenges facing information managers and map out better ways of pushing positive narratives about the government.

Host Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu used the opportunity to reassure residents of his government’s determination to do more to meet their yearnings and pain.
