Barcelona set for shock loan move for Kevin Prince Boateng

The former Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and Schalke player and who has previously had a spell in Spain, with Las Palmas in 2016/17 is currently on the verge of joining La Liga giants on loan with an option to make the deal permanent at the end of the loan spell.

He was born in Germany, he is the half-brother of Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng. Last year he moved to Serie A after helping Eintracht Frankfurt lift the German Cup. He has scored five goals in 15 games this season for Sassuolo.

Rumours have it that Barcelona would part with a tune of about eight million euros for the signature of the Ghanaian in the event of a permanent transfer. The arrival of 31 year old Boateng would provide much-needed cover for Luis Suarez up front in Ernesto Valverde’s squad following the departure of Munir El Haddadi to Sevilla.
