The British High Commission is now seeking some clarification as regards the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu from the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The spokesperson for the Commission in person of Dean Hurlock disclosed this in a recent interview.

Kanu, who is also a British citizen, was arrested on Sunday and extradited to Nigeria to face trial for alleged treason.

Hurlock was quoted saying, “the United Kingdom, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office stands ready to provide consular assistance as regards the matter”.

He continued saying, “The UK would expect any trial or legal proceedings to follow due process as Kanu’s prosecution reopened”.
