Chairman of Daar Communications, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Passes Away at 71


Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the Chairman of Daar Communications and a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party, has sadly passed away at the age of 71 in Abuja. The news of his demise was confirmed by sources close to the family.

According to the sources, Chief Dokpesi suffered a stroke and was receiving medical treatment at an Abuja hospital. Tragically, his condition worsened, and he passed away. The stroke is believed to have occurred after the recent Ramadan fast.

Following his health setback, Chief Dokpesi had been undergoing occupational therapy to aid his daily activities. However, despite his efforts to manage his health, he passed away unexpectedly.

The late Chief Raymond Dokpesi was a well-known figure in the media industry as the Chairman of Daar Communications, which includes the popular Africa Independent Television (AIT) network.

Additionally, he held a significant position within the Peoples Democratic Party.
His sudden demise is a great loss to both the media community and the political sphere.

Tributes and condolences are pouring in from colleagues, friends, and well-wishers who recognize his contributions and achievements.
