CITIZENS OF SOUTH SUDAN IN AN ELATED MOOD AS POPULAR EVANGELIST, PROPHET T.B JOSHUA STORMS THEIR COUNTRY

There is a general atmosphere of elation in South Sudan as all have been set to have popular televangelist, Prophet T.B. Joshua visit the country today to offer special prayers for peace.

In a release made available to the public, presidential spokesman, Ateny Wek Ateny stated that the prophet would be coming to hold special prayers at the presidential palace today.

It will be recalled that Prophet Joshua gained prominence in South Sudan for his prophecy of a failed coup attempt against President Salva Kiir Mayardit before the conflict erupted in 2013.

It was gathered that Mayardit afterwards sent a high-level delegation headed by Vice President Wani Igga to Nigeria to deliver an invitation to Prophet Joshua offering him an advisory role in the government.

Expectations are rife that the visit of the prophet would positively impact the African country.

It will also be recalled that exactly four years ago, Prophet Joshua visited Tanzania under President John Magufuli at a time of political upheaval and division. It was gathered that the news of Prophet Joshua dominated the headlines in the country and particularly saw to the reduction in post-election tension.
