Ebonyi International Airport ready for test flights, says State Government


The Ebonyi State government has announced that the multi-billion-naira Ebonyi International Airport is ready for use and will commence test flights this week.

The Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on Infrastructural Development for Concession, Frank Ngwu, confirmed that the Federal Ministry of Aviation has given its approval.

Ngwu conducted journalists around the airport and boasted that it is the largest in the country, with world-class infrastructure and modern equipment from Europe.

He added that the Emergency Operation Centre, police, immigration, and other buildings, including substations, halls, and switch rooms, are fully completed.

According to Ngwu, the runway is 95% marked and will be completed within the next three days. He expressed confidence that the airport will impress the world with its level of sophistication and quality.

With the completion of the Ebonyi International Airport, Ebonyi State is set to become a hub for air travel and transportation in the country.
