Emirates Airlines’ outbound flight from Nigeria has been placed on a 72-hour suspension by the Federal Government.
This notice of suspension was contained in the circular issued on February 4 by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)
It explained that the reason for the suspension was because of the breach of guidelines placed by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 by the Airline.
The PTF accused the airline of airlifting passengers from Nigeria, who did the rapid antigen tests done in laboratories which are not approved by regulatory authorities.
Emirates Airlines has not been in compliance with the directives given by the PTF as reports gotten from Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) reveals that Emirates Airlines operated the flights from both Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos and Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.
