EX NIGERIAN PROLIFIC STRIKER, ODION IGHALO HAS DEBUNKED RUMOURS LINKING HIM WITH A RETURN TO THE NATIONAL TEAM

Manchester United striker, Idion Ighalo has cleared the air over a possible return to the Super Eagles team.

The on loan striker from Chinese club, Shanghai Shenhua has impressed at Old Trafford since signing on deadline day in January 2020, scoring four goals in eight games.

Ighalo was quoted saying, “the Super Eagles is doing very well without me, the team is filled with young guys and they are doing well. Osimhen is firing. I just want to concentrate on my club football for now”.

The prolific striker also claims that head coach of the Nigerian national team, Gernot Rohr always messages him to tell him the door is open anytime he wants a return.

Ighalo was also the topscorer with seven goals at the AFCON 2019 qualifiers as Nigeria returned to the big stage of African football after missing the previous two editions.
