Exciting New Sitcom ‘University of Cruise’ Set to Captivate Nigerian and UK Audiences

Prepare for laughter and drama as the brand-new sitcom, ‘University of Cruise,’ is poised to make its debut season premiere on screens in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. This eagerly awaited series will be available on ROK TV via DSTV and GOtv, as well as ROK UK on Sky TV UK and Freeview. After completing principal photography in 2021, this engaging TV show is ready to capture viewers’ attention. Created and executively produced by marketing and communications expert Ifeoma Oma Areh, with direction by Adeoluwa Owu, ‘University of Cruise’ is set to provide 13 thrilling episodes.

The series unfolds within the confines of St Cruz University, a private university in Lagos, Nigeria, offering viewers a captivating journey through the lives of seven university friends. This series delves into the intricacies of academics, friendship, love, social media, peer pressure, and the ominous presence of cultism.

The talented cast includes Amanda Dara, Nancy Ameh, Esther Agunbiade, Scott Obilor, Vine Olugu, Chisom Onwuegbuzia, and Solomon Mike. Nollywood icon Mercy Johnson-Okojie takes on a co-executive producer role, while music star Ric Hassani provides the official soundtrack titled ‘Uni girl.’

Ifeoma Oma Areh, the creator of the series, shared the project’s purpose, stating, “Our mission is to encapsulate the spirit of modern Nigeria/Africa, its youth, and their many stories and realities. With ‘University of Cruise,’ we are not just telling stories; we are providing a mirror to the lives, dreams, and dilemmas of the youth in 21st-century Nigeria and Africa. It’s a celebration of Nigeria’s pop-culture and an exploration of the challenges that resonate with today’s generation.”
