EXTRAMARITAL AFFAIR LEADS TO DEATH IN NIGER

A Niger based 29 year old, Ishaya David is now in custody of the Niger State Police command for the killing of his 25 year old wife, Rifkatu David after Ishaya found out that she has been cheating on him with her ex boyfriend.

The suspect, Ishaya David is a native of Sabon Kaida village in Gurara and he was arrested by the Police detectives in the Gawu Babangida Division in Gurara Local Government Area of Niger state.

We learnt that the suspect stabbed his wife to death for having an affair with her ex boyfriend after Ishaya had cautioned her many times. It was gathered that Rifkatu had turned deaf ears to her husband’s warning to do away with her ex boyfriend. In Ishaya’s own words he said ” I used a knife to kill her for her refusal to listen to my instructions. I told her to stop sleeping with other men but she proved adamant that even if she does, nothing was bound to happen. So I lost my temper and stabbed her”.

The Public Relations Officer of the command in person of Muhammad Abubakar stated that the matter has been charged to court and the suspect will be made to pay for his crimes.
