FEDERAL GOVERNMENT COMMENCES IT’S 774,00 JOBS PROGRAM IN ABIA

The Federal Government of Nigeria has in Bende Local Government in Abia state, commenced its 774,000 jobs programme.

The official flag-off of the programme was at the Michael Okpara Auditorium in Abia State Government House Umuahia on the 5th January 2021

632 persons were selected among the participants of the programme in Bende, they will participate fully in the programme, these were spurred by the Chairman who was represented by his Deputy, Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro to represent the Local Government as good ambassadors

Chief Emmanuel Onwuchekwa the Executive Chairman of Bender Local government urged the participants to note the importance of acquiring the National Identification Number and voters card as this will enable them to benefit from Government grants.

Onuoha explained the nature of the job to the participants he said the program is a cleaning exercise, that will take place every Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and it will be carried out by the selected persons in their different locations.

He also said that disabled persons selected for the programme have nothing to fear as they will not be mandated to participate in the cleaning exercise.
