Nigeria’s Government is to refund N37.9 billion to Anambra for work done by the state government on federal projects.
These projects include repairs and rehabilitation of federal roads in Anambra. However,the refund would leave a balance of about N43 billion claimed by the state.
Our correspondent writes that the emphasis on road construction and repairs began with ex-governor Chris Ngige, now Minister of Labour, and intensified during the tenure of former governor Peter Obi and particularly in the administration of incumbent Governor Obiano.
