Forgotten Zik Mausoleum to be inaugurated Next week by the President

President Muhammadu Buhari will inaugurate the Zik Mausoleum in Onitsha, on January 24 as part of activities planned out for his re-election campaign which has its set stage in Anambra.

The South East Zonal Coordinator of Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation Mrs Sharon Ikeazor, made the announcement at the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting held in Awka on Saturday.

Mrs Ikeazor announced that President Buhari would pay a courtesy visit to the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe and his Council, before proceeding to inaugurate the Mausoleum. In her statement she was quoted saying,
“You are aware that the Zik Mausoleum has been abandoned for so many years but at the inception of the Buhari administration in 2015, Mr President promised to complete the project and it has been completed”.

She said, the campaign is set to be attended by thousands of APC faithful and supporters rally at the Holy Trinity Basilica ground in Onitsha. She didn’t forget to announce that the people of South East are ready to do better than they had done in 2015 to Buhari get re-elected.

Also speaking, the State Coordinator and Senator representing Anambra South, Sen. Andy Uba said the meeting was also arranged to reconcile aggrieved members of the party ahead of the election. He called on party faithful and supporters of Buhari to turn out massively for the mega rally.
