Former Emir of Kano Urges Nigerians: Don’t Tolerate Political Nonsense, Secure Your Nation’s Future

In a widely-shared video, former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II, has delivered a powerful message to Nigerians, urging them to no longer accept political ineptitude and intimidation. The former Central Bank of Nigeria governor asserted that citizens must hold politicians accountable to ensure a viable future for coming generations.

Sanusi expressed concern that Nigerians often tolerate unacceptable behavior from politicians, leading to a potential loss of the nation for future generations. He emphasized that refraining from entering politics doesn’t diminish an individual’s worth and encouraged Nigerians to shed their fear and stand up for what is right.

“We cannot allow ourselves to be cowed by titles such as president or governor,” Sanusi stated firmly, adding, “Holding politicians accountable is the only path to safeguard our nation’s integrity and secure a prosperous future for our children.”

Sanusi shared his personal decision to stay out of politics, highlighting that this choice doesn’t imply inferiority. He urged the Nigerian youth not to succumb to intimidation and to actively participate in shaping the country’s destiny. Sanusi’s impassioned plea resonates as a call to action for all Nigerians to demand accountability, thereby paving the way for a brighter future.
