FORMER SUPER EAGLES PLAYER, NWANKWO KANU CELEBRATES 17TH YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TODAY WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE, AMARA

Legendary footballer, Kanu Nwankwo and his beautiful wife, Amara are elated that the union which started years back is now 17 years.

The lovely couple are already gushing over each other as they celebrate 17 years of togetherness and blissfulness.

Amara, the footballer’s wife celebrated their anniversary with a throw back picture of when the talented footballer went to propose to her at her father’s house. The lovely mother of three said their marriage has been a movie since that day.

The Nwankwo’s marriage has stood the test of time despite the fact he married his wife when she was just 18 years. Their union is blessed with three lovely kids, Sean who is 15 years, Lan 12 years and Pinky, 8 years .

Amara the beautiful wife of the former super eagles captain has been instrumental to him being alive today. She was the one who spotted that something was wrong with his breathing in 2014. She felt his heart beat sounded louder than normal and prompted him to go for check up which eventually turned out to be a major defect in his heart and would require a surgery to be done. It took six weeks for the tall athlete to recover from the surgery.

This was years after his initial open heart surgery in 1996. He went for a routine check-up then after helping Nigeria to win a gold medal.

After his second surgery in 2014, doctors stated that, the meals Amara was giving her husband was a major contributor to him being alive before the second surgery took place.

She however launched a book ” healthy living with Amara Kanu which was inspired by her battle to get her husband back on his feet again.
