In a resounding victory, Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerges triumphant in the Imo State governorship election held on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
The declaration, announced by INEC Returning Officer Prof. Abayomi Fashina, came after an exhaustive eight-hour collation of local government results.
Uzodimma’s landslide win sees him securing 540,308 votes, solidifying his position for a second term.
Defeating rivals from various parties, including Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Nneji Achonu of the Labour Party (LP), Uzodimma’s victory underscores his widespread support across all 27 local government areas in the state.
