Governor Makinde Announces New Appointments Across Oyo State Government

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has approved a series of appointments for Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Board Chairmen across diverse portfolios within Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). The announcement of these appointments came through a letter penned by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, dated November 29, 2023.

Among the notable mentions, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju, is set to take on an expanded role, combining his present portfolio with that of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media.

The list of fresh appointments includes Oloye Suraj Abiodun as Special Adviser for Education Intervention, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran as Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and Dr. Gbola Adetunji as Chairman of the Oyo State Agency for the Control of AIDS (OYSACA). Additionally, various other appointments across different spheres were announced, including individuals tasked with roles in community relations, electoral commissions, library boards, healthcare, housing, economic planning, and more.

Governor Makinde urged the newly appointed individuals to carry out their responsibilities diligently and with a strong sense of commitment and allegiance to the state.
