The Borno State Police in Maiduguri has initiated a rapid investigation into the unexpected passing of the Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement, Ibrahim Garba. The Commissioner, Mr. Garba, tragically lost his life on Saturday morning, within the city of Maiduguri, as officially announced by Isa Gusau, the spokesperson for Governor Babagana Zulum.
The call for this investigation has come directly from Governor Zulum and the State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Yusuf. Commissioner Yusuf, in a gesture of condolence and support, was present at the residence of the deceased to extend his sympathies to the grieving family.
Isa Gusau, in a heartfelt statement, shared, “Governor Babagana Umara Zulum received the news with intense shock and profound grief.” He further conveyed that Governor Zulum stands in mourning solidarity with the late commissioner’s family, their loved ones, friends, colleagues, and the members of the State Executive Council during this trying time.
