Four persons have reportedly lost their lives as suspected herdsmen and farmers engaged in a fierce battle in Iwoye Ketu area of Ogun State. The clash also left two police officers injured.

Reports had it that the Fulani herdsmen took their cattle to drink from the community stream and was angrily challenged by a resident of the community.

One of the herdsmen was said to have shot dead the native who challenged them and this was how crisis began.

Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama, paid a visit to the town where the sad incident happened. He used the medium to urge the inhabitanats to be at peace with everyone and live together.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident but said that the command is sure that only one life was lost in the sad incident.

He added that no arrest had been made and that investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
