The former chairman of DAAR communications and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, Raymond Dokpesi, has refuted claims that he is interested in national chairmanship of the party.

The opposition party is expected to elect a new chairman in October who would replace Uche Secondus. He was quick to say that he would not risk a dent on his integrity, having made his stance clear earlier.

According to him, he has no interest in contesting the position of the party’s national chairman.

He was quoted saying, “I wish to categorically state that I have no interest whatsoever in the position of National Chairman of the PDP or any other national office in the party. While remaining a committed party man, I cannot and will not risk a dent on my integrity, having earlier made my stance clear. Members of the public are advised to disregard the report”
