ISLAMIC SCHOLAR RAPES AND IMPREGNATE 14 YEAR OLD GIRL IN YOBE STATE

An Islamic scholar who doubles as a local medicine seller in Nguru town of Yobe State, known as Malam Musa has allegedly raped and impregnated a 14 year old girl.

The victim is a JSS1 student of Higher Islamic School, Nguru, Nayi-nawa area of Nguru town of Yobe State and she is currently four months pregnant.

The victim narrated that the 40-year-old Islamic scholar, who also resides in the same compound with her, first raped her and subsequently gave her N2,500 after carrying out the act four times despite her resistance.

Further speaking, she said when she found out that she was pregnant, she met another 60-year-old Muslim scholar, who resides in Bulabulin area of Nguru town for ‘spiritual’ abortion.

However, the scholar requested for a huge amount of money for her to able to abort the pregnancy, which she couldn’t afford. She said the man requested her to pay him in any kind and rape her shortly after.

But the pregnancy was becoming visible despite several promises by the Islamic scholar that it will ‘spiritually’ be aborted.

Despite overwhelming prove, the family of the victim said the rapist, Malam Musa, has allegedly taken them to court for defamation of character.

The 60-year-old Muslim scholar, has however, accepted raping the young girl when she met him for ‘spiritual’ abortion.
