Jadon Sancho Faces Isolation from Manchester United First Team

Jadon Sancho’s situation at Manchester United has taken a stark turn as reports suggest he has been banned from accessing all first-team facilities, including the team dining area. The England forward has found himself training with the club’s academy players following a public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag regarding his exclusion from the squad during their recent loss to Arsenal.

Sancho expressed his frustration with Ten Hag’s explanation on social media, leading to his removal from first-team training sessions. Now, it has been revealed that Sancho is not permitted to share meals with the senior squad members at Manchester United’s Carrington training ground. Instead, he must dine alongside the academy players.

The impasse between Sancho and Ten Hag continues, with Manchester United insisting that the young talent apologize to the manager if he wishes to reintegrate into the first team. Teammates, including Marcus Rashford, have reportedly urged Sancho to set aside his pride and extend an apology to Ten Hag to resolve the standoff.

However, if Sancho maintains his stance, the club is open to considering offers for him when the transfer window reopens, with Borussia Dortmund potentially interested in reacquiring him.

Sources close to Ten Hag have stated that the Dutch manager takes no pleasure in the current situation. Sancho was relegated from first-team training after a heated conversation with Ten Hag, in which he contested his manager’s assertion that his omission from the squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal was due to poor training performance.

The 23-year-old has refused to offer an apology, asserting that he is being unfairly singled out by the manager. This has led to his complete isolation from the first team, as seen when he watched the Manchester United Under-18s while the senior squad played Brighton at Old Trafford.

While a faction of Manchester United players reportedly disagrees with the decision to exile Sancho, Ten Hag has downplayed these suggestions. He remarked before Manchester United’s victory against Burnley, “I don’t know if it’s a leak, but I know opinion, I know my players. Everyone can make suggestions, we are okay with it. At United, you have to win every game, so it doesn’t change anything. As always, it’s about how we play against Burnley, there’s no easy game, definitely not against Burnley.”
