The suspect had posted a tweet on May 18, 2023, which read, “Let’s kill all the Igbos. Let’s flush them out of Yoruba lands. I hate these people with passion. They are violent people. They are the worst. They hate us. Let’s hate them without holding back.”
Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi emphasized that immediate action was taken by detectives from the cybercrime section at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Osogbo as soon as they became aware of the hateful act. Through an intelligence-led investigation, the suspect was apprehended in Ilesa, where he had been hiding.
