Manchester City is set to face off against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals for the second year in a row.

They secured their spot in the semis with a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, resulting in a 4-1 aggregate win in the last-eight.

Erling Haaland, who missed a first-half penalty, scored the crucial goal in the second half, securing his 48th goal in 41 appearances this season.

Bayern had a goal disallowed for offside in the second half and managed to score a late penalty through Joshua Kimmich.

Despite their possession advantage and numerous chances, Bayern struggled to convert their opportunities into goals, continuing to be plagued by this issue.

Manchester City, who will be playing in the semi-finals for the third year in a row, will be facing Real Madrid, led by former City manager Pep Guardiola’s old rival.

Real Madrid famously won the title last season after scoring two injury-time goals to turn the tide in their favor.
