MANCHESTER CITY MANGER, PEP GUARDIOLA REVEALS THAT LEROY SANE HAS TURNED DOWN A NEW CONTRACT

Leroy Sane has turned down a new contract and will leave Manchester City, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

The Germany international, 24, has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent months.

With his current deal due to expire in 2021, City will allow him to leave at the end of the season for the right offer.

“Leroy has rejected to extend his contract. Everyone knows. If at the end of the season two clubs agree he can leave, if not he will leave at the end of his contract,” Guardiola said.

Guardiola added that David Silva and Claudio Bravo will stay with the club until the end of the extended season, having initially been due to leave at the end of June.

Sane joined City in 2016 from Schalke for a £37million fee and has won two Premier League titles in his four years at the club.

The winger, who has not made an appearances this term due to a serious knee injury, has scored 39 goals in his 134 appearances at the Etihad.
