Manchester City winger is set to join Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich on a five-year deal after the two clubs agreed a fee of around 50 million euros (£45m).

With the 24-year-old’s current City deal due to expire in 2021, the club recently announced they would allow him to leave for the right offer at the end of the season.

The Germany international tore his anterior cruciate ligament in City’s Community Shield win over Liverpool last August.

He appeared set to make a comeback after returning to first-team training in March until the coronavirus pandemic suspended football.

His only competitive appearance in the last year came as a late substitute during the 5-0 demolition of Burnley last week.

Sane was heavily linked with a move to Bayern last summer but his injury put an end to any hopes of an August transfer.

This season aside, the forward has been a standout player for City over the last four years following his £37m switch from Schalke in 2016.
