Manchester United Scores Record-Breaking £60 Million Deal with Qualcomm for Shirt Sponsorship

Manchester United has made headlines with a groundbreaking sponsorship agreement, as Qualcomm Technologies, a US-based tech giant, secures a significant deal to replace the current TeamViewer logo on the club’s jerseys starting from the next season.

While the Premier League club remains tight-lipped about the specific financial terms, reports suggest that the deal is set to be worth an impressive £60 million ($75 million) annually. This sum appears to equal or even exceed the previous record for the largest shirt sponsorship deal in the history of football.

Qualcomm Technologies has been a valued global partner of Manchester United since last year, and their relationship is set to grow even stronger. In an official statement, the club announced, “Manchester United plc has agreed to an expanded strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., that will see the Snapdragon brand displayed on the front of the club’s famous shirt.”

Starting from the 2024/25 season, the Snapdragon logo will adorn not only the men’s team’s jerseys but also those of the women’s teams, featuring on the home, away, and third kits.

As Manchester United aims to regain its Premier League glory, fans are eagerly watching the team’s performance under the leadership of Erik ten Hag. However, discontent with the Glazers, the club’s owners, has been vocal among supporters, with recent reports of a halted sale of the club causing United’s share price to take a hit.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors are renowned for their presence in smartphones, PCs, virtual reality systems, and gaming devices, making this partnership a significant step in the world of sports and technology collaboration.
