MANCHESTER UNITED’S MARCUS RASHFORD MAKES HISTORY AS HE BECOMES THE FIRST SUBSTITUTE PLAYER TO SCORE AN HAT TRICK IN THE HISTORY OF THE UCL

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has set a new record in Champions League. The striker becomes the first ever substitute player to score a hat-trick in the history of the Champions League.

It took the United’s front man only 27 minutes to record his first ever professional football hat trick against Leipzig on Wednesday night at Old Trafford, he’s now been ranked ahead of Kylian Mbappé who recorded a hat-trick in 38 minutes, Walter Pandiani in 44 minutes, Joseba Llorente in 45 minutes and Uwe Rösler who recorded a hat-trick in 52 minutes.

Marcus Rashford has been in a fine form right from the starting of the 2020/2021 season, having scored seven times and assisted twice in nine appearances this season. Rashford now has 4 goals in 2 appearances in the champions league. He scored his first champions league goal for the season against Parish Saint German in France last week.

The match against Leipzig started with the United’s youngster Mason Greenwood scoring his first ever goal in the Champions League. United men were all in fine form on Wednesday night with players like Manchester United’s captain Harry Maguire who makes his champions league debut in style and it was a night to remember for all United’s players.

Marcus Rashford’s hat-trick has put him in the list together with Manchester United legends who scored a hat-trick in champions league. Becoming the 6th United player to score a Champions League hat-trick. The others who have scored include Andy Cole, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Wayne Rooney, Micheal Owen, and Robin van Persie.

United’s new signing Edinson Cavani also scored but the goal was overruled as offside, he was also promising to watch after coming on from the bench to replace Paul Pogba.

Marcus Rashford was praises as he gave away the chance to record his first ever professional football career hat-trick to Martial in the 87th minute for the United front man to record his first goal for the season.

Many fans has applauded Rashford for his effort to give Martial a boost and keep his spirit alive and determined in the next games to come.
