Martin Fayulu, the Congolese opposition leader, has frowned at some African leaders who have gone ahead to congratulate Tshisekedi as the winner of the controversial December 30, 2018 elections

According to him, their actions are very disrespectful to the good people of Congo and he also thinks they all are encouraging electoral fraud, forgery and falsehood.

Mr Fayulu in a tweet on Monday has begged other African presidents who asks the Congolese to abide by the decision of the Constitutional Court to respect the sovereign decision of the Congolese people who voted for him. He claims that over 60 percent of the citizens voted for him. He further advised those Africa leaders in question not to encourage fraud.

The Constitutional Court in the DRC capital Kinshasa has ruled out the petition brought by Mr Fayulu on Sunday claiming it is baseless.

Rumours have it that Tuesday January 22 has been slated as the day of investiture of the new president. Tshisekedi will take over from Joseph Kabila who has been president for the past 18 years. A list of the African Presidents who have sent congratulatory messages to Tshisekedi include, Tanzania ‘s Pombe Magufuli John, South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa, Kenya’s Kenyatta Uhuru, Burundi ‘s Pierre Nkurunziza, to mention but a few.
