Mr Eazi claims to have rejected N27m record deal when he had only N9k on him

Ace musician, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known as Mr Eazi schooled in Ghana where he grabbed the opportunity of working and recording with several top producers in Ghana, amongst them are PeeWee and KluMonsta.

In a recent interview, Mr Eazi has disclosed that he has on several occasions rejected bumper record deals while he was still broke. He claims that self worth is more important than money. In his own words he said ” If your self-esteem is based on how much you have in your bank account, then you have a serious self-esteem issue. Right from when I sang my very first song, someone offered me N80m record deal but I turned it down and at the time, I did not have N300,000 in my account.”

The artiste who released his debut mixtape, ‘About to Blow’ in July 2013 and came to limelight following the release of ‘Skin Tight’ in 2015 claimed that he was once offered a £356,000 (N26,929,873) record deal but rejected it at a time he had only £20 (N9353) left on him. He claimed to have rejected the offer because he simply knows his worth.

Despite attaining a superstar level and dating Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian billionaire oil magnate, the musician says he does not own a car because there are better things to do with his money. He claims his major means of transportation is through Uber and he does not care what people have to say about it.
