At the Yaba Magistrate’s Court, Lagos State, on Monday, renowned singer Naira Marley, along with Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, were granted bail amounting to N20 million and placed under strict legal obligations.

The case against Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others, stemming from their alleged involvement in the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely recognized as Mohbad, had led to their arraignment and subsequent remand on October 6.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun, presiding over the case, laid down the terms of the bail, which require the defendants to surrender their passports and obligate them to weekly reporting to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.

Olatunbosun emphasized, “As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.”

Furthermore, she issued a stern warning against any direct contact concerning the case, stating, “Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.”
