Naira Slips Against Dollar at Investors and Exporters WindowFollowing Presidential Inauguration


The Nigerian currency, Naira, experienced a depreciation at the Investors and Exporters window on Wednesday, reaching an exchange rate of N464.67 to the dollar.

This drop occurred just three days after the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s 16th President. The local currency exhibited a 0.04 percent decrease compared to the previous day’s rate of N464.50 to the dollar.

Throughout Wednesday’s trading, the open indicative rate concluded at N464.10 to the dollar.

The highest exchange rate recorded during the day was N467 to the dollar before settling at N464.67. Notably, the Naira reached as low as 460 against the dollar within the day’s trading.
At the official Investors and Exporters window, a total of 163.74 million dollars was traded on Wednesday.
