The Nigeria center for disease control have hinted on a possible resumption of school soon.
Due to how the coronavirus is gaining ground one will argue about the possible resumption of schools anytime soon.
However in a meeting on Monday 18th may 2020 the director general for health control Chikwe Ihekweazu said educational sector was part of the things been discussed.
He stressed on how the virus will be contained if schools, market, transport and other agencies are opened. He said this matters will be what will be discussed extensively in the coming weeks and provides guidance for the opening of all those agencies and institution.
Chikwe said he was happy to see development in the ministry of aviation as they are thinking of re-starting soon and he said conversation was going on in the educational sector of which he was privilege to some of the things been discussed.
He made reference to the presidential taskforce on covid-19 by president Muhammed Buhari as he expressed concerns over re_opening of the economy when the PTF brief him on the public health response to covid-19 in the country.
Chikwe said we must take a deliberate and calculative manner due to what’s on ground in the health care in order to give relief to the people.
