Nigerian musicians Omah Lay and Tems have both been arrested in Uganda. They were charged to court with “Negligently doing acts likely to spread an infectious diseases.”

Omah Lay and Tems were arrested after they allegedly performed in a concert in Uganda over the weekend against the Covid 19 guidelines of the country.

The Ugandan police revealed that the two Nigerian musicians were arrested alongside another person, Muyiwa Awomiyi and would remain in custody until Wednesday 16th of December 2020.

Prominent Nigerians such as Peter Okoye, Runtown have also learnt their voices and reached out to the concerned parties as regards the release of the Nigerian stars.

The hashtag #FreeOmahLay and #FreeTems have been trending nonstop with videos circulating of Ugandan police officers putting Omah Lay in handcuffs.
