Dozy Mmobuosi, a Nigerian businessman and tech entrepreneur based in the United Kingdom, has dismissed reports claiming that he withdrew his bid to acquire English football club, Sheffield United.
Mmobuosi took to his verified Twitter handle to clarify that he has not withdrawn his bid, and he will continue to work with experts and professionals he has hired to purchase the club, beyond the £8.85 million GBP already paid to United World.
He also stated that he had positive and constructive conversations with the club’s chairman and CEO and is committed to reaching a positive outcome for the fans of Sheffield United.
Mmobuosi congratulated Sheffield United on their promotion back to the English Premier League, after they secured promotion by beating West Bromwich Albion 2-0 at Bramall Lane on Wednesday.
The Blades will return to the top flight two years after their relegation to the Championship. Mmobuosi tweeted his congratulations to the club and expressed his anticipation to witness their triumphs in the Premier League.
