NSCDC Vehicle Carrying Election Materials Crashes in Abuja, Raising Concerns Over Voter Disenfranchisement

On Friday evening, election eve, a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps vehicle carrying election supplies from Abuja to Lagos crashed.

According to reports, the incident occurred at Abuja’s Giri Roundabout bridge. Additionally, the vehicle was transporting NSCDC employees to Lagos.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, people are seen helping to pick up papers that they think are election materials that were left on the ground.

In the video, a man said that some of the passengers had been hurt, and that one of them had been hit in the head.

However, he went on to say that some senior members of the NSCDC had been relocated to a new location.

He stated, “When the accident occurred, the people at the back hit the wood, and one person in front received a head cut.” I don’t know if he can make it through.

We then contacted assistance. However, some senior officers were transferred to Gwarindada.

Since it was not clear whether there had been any casualties when this report was completed,
