Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has come under fire over the condolence letter he wrote to mourn the late Ogun East former Senator, Buruji Kashamu.
In the letter which went viral, Obasanjo claimed that Kashamu used the maneuver of law and politics to escape justice from alleged criminal offence in Nigeria and outside.
According to Obasanjo, Kashamu could not escape death as no legal or political maneuver could stop the cold hand of death.
But Obasanjo’s comment appears to have angered many Nigerians, who attacked him on the social media, telling him that he too cannot escape death.
Nigerians called out the octogenarian, accusing him of showing hatred towards the dead.
Many were of the belief that Obasanjo should have not said those words about the dead, as everybody will die one day, no matter how long.
