Oyo State Governor Disbands Management and Board of Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has taken decisive action by ordering the immediate dissolution of the management and board of the renowned Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso. The Chairman of the Transition and Inauguration Committee, Segun Ogunwuyi, announced this development in a statement released on Friday.

In compliance with Governor Makinde’s directive, Ogunwuyi instructed the dissolved management and board members to promptly hand over all government-owned assets and properties under their possession to the transition and inauguration committee.

Ogunwuyi stated, “I have been entrusted by His Excellency, Governor Makinde, to inform you about the dissolution of the management and board of LAUTECH in Ogbomoso, effective from Friday, May 26, 2023.

Accordingly, the management and board of the hospital are hereby required to officially surrender and transfer all government property to the transition and inauguration committee.”

Furthermore, Ogunwuyi conveyed Governor Makinde’s gratitude for the substantial contributions made by the former management and board to the progress and development of the state. The governor extended his best wishes for their future endeavors.

Governor Makinde’s decision to disband the management and board of LAUTECH aims to pave the way for new leadership and fresh perspectives in the hospital’s administration, ensuring continued advancement in healthcare services provided to the people of Oyo State.
