OYO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY TO COMMENCE SCREENING OF DELEGATES ON THURSDAY

The Oyo House of Assembly recently announced that it will begin its screening for confirmation all the 14 commissioner-designates of the state on Thursday.

Speaker of the state Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin made this known at plenary yesterday.

Thursday’s exercise is a sequel to the list of would-be commissioners forwarded for confirmation to the Assembly by Governor Seyi Makinde on July 24.

The list comprises names of prominent personalities, among those to be screened include, Chairman, Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Chief Bayo Lawal; former members of the state Assembly, Honourable Kehinde Ayoola and Honourable Adeniyi Farinto; former Chairman, Ibadan North West local government area, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun, academics, Professor Oyelowo Oyewo and Professor Daudu Sangodoyin.

Also to be screened for confirmation of appointment include, the Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran as well as Mr Akeem Oladeji and Mr Dayo Ogungbenro as full-time members.
