The Governor-elect of Oyo State under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, Seyi Makinde, has promised to retain persons appointed by the outgoing All Progressives Congress if they are found to be competent.

The governor-elect, disclosed this during a recent interview where he spoke in his local dialect, Yoruba. He disclosed that his government is all about delivering good results and has promised to retain people from other parties as long as they are competent.

He further announced a cancellation of the N3,000 education levy imposed on students by the Governor Abiola Ajimobi led administration. He delivered this good news with an advice to parents to use the money to settle personal matters.

When quizzed about economic matters, Makinde promised to personally handle matters that has to do with the economy of the state and take responsibility for anything that happens in the state.

The governor-elect said he would set his focus on agriculture and will seek expert advice from states or countries that are well grounded.
