With the new trend in town involving pants and wealth. This certainly made the demand for pants high amongst ritualists. This was the case in Akure, where the daughter of a certain clergyman washed and dried two of her pants on the line just inside thier compound at around 8pm and by 6am the next day, the pants were nowhere to be found. This was the statement of the state Police spokesperson, Mr Femi Joseph.

Mr Joseph said the suspects, who are security guards in the clergyman’s house are members of the orthodox church. The house in question is heavily guarded by experienced private security outfit in Ondo state. Although, the suspects who were paraded by the Police claimed innocence and denied committing the crime.

The state Police also paraded Mr Femi Sunday and Mr Ami Friday who are suspected dealers of Indian hemp. They didn’t stop at being dealers alone, but they also killed a particular 75year old Modupe Olorunfemi on her farm in Owo. Late Modupe was killed for being a good citizen as she exposed both men to security operatives about how they are planting and selling Indian hemp in the area.

The police spokesperson confirmed that the suspects and their accomplices who allegedly killed the old woman will be charged to court after the completion of investigation. In a just completed interview, Mr Friday, one of the suspects has admitted to bring a dealer in the highly profitable cannabis business, but claimed that it was not his wish to kill the 75year old woman but he was sent and tempted by Mr Gbenga who promised to give them a sum of N500,000.

However, the other suspect, Femi, who denied killing the old woman, said he was just a motorcyclist who conveyed Friday to the village where the old woman was killed. The Police are hot on the chase of Gbenga who has taken to his heels.
