According to Senator Aliyu Abdullahi, the Deputy Whip of the Senate, the People’s Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar and his Labour Party counterpart Peter Obi did not in any way jeopardize Bola Tinubu’s chances of winning the election on February 25.
According to the Niger State senator and National Coordinator of Project 774, Atiku and Obi were merely putting on a show rather than challenging the APC candidate.
Project 774 encourages grassroots support for the Tinubu/Shettima team in all of the country’s local government areas.
Abdullahi stated to journalists in Abuja that Atiku did not have an impact on his home state of Adamawa while he was vice president, noting that he did not fix a single road in his state.
The senator responded, “Yes, they are giving a good show, but it is only to bring out the best in us,” when questioned as to whether Atiku and Obi posed a threat to the APC candidate. It’s just a good show, not a difficult one.
All of the roads were as bad as they had always been during his eight years as vice president. For the people of Adamawa State, not a single road was fixed.
“Care starts at home; What reason should I expect you to be charitable to me if you are not charitable to your home? Honorable Namdas was the person who fought for that road to be built. Because I don’t want us to focus too much on that period’s failure, the facts are clear; It was enormous.
The senate deputy whip explained, in relation to the aborted APC rally in Niger State, that he followed the law by informing the police ahead of time about the rally.
He was surprised that the police were able to stop the rally during an electioneering period, and he also said that the event that was held in his community afterwards had a lot of people show up.
“I had written to all the people we were supposed to inform of the date of the program and the venue, which is the New Bussa Township Stadium that I renovated,” he continued.
Before beginning the renovation project, I obtained permission from the local government. They blocked the stadium, so we decided to use my father’s rehabilitated neighborhood instead. All of the people came to our house, and as a result, the entire area was crowded.
